This is a very cool little lesson by James Murphy. As he explains, it’s not a fill or a lick, but rather something subtle, yet very effective, that will help you ‘color’ your groove a bit.
It is not something that will build up to the chorus, draw too much attention away form the music or rip you out of ‘the pocket’ (well, it cold but practice and it won’t!). It’s a little cool flavor that involved both 32nd notes and triplets, so it is also not something that you may be able to apply instantly, but a little practicing will get you there. Anyways, check it out and we’ll see you in the shed! 🙂
